Overview:

Android platform has been developing at a meteoric rate and is providing a market for the app developers. Most of the smartphones are powered by android due to which Google play store is gaining significant popularity as compared to its counter part: Apple's App store. I'll be concentrating on the Google Play Store apps which aid you in day to day life to ease your efforts. Jumping straight in to the topic, lets look at top 10 android apps one by one:

1] Google Keep:

  • This is the most useful Memo app from the Google line up. Basic functionality is to store memos, pics(bills, important snaps, etc) and TO-DO lists.
  • Google provides its google Drive facility to back up all your memos to the cloud so that you never lose any data.
  • Based on my personal experience, Keep is one of the most easiest apps to use and has an user friendly interface.
  • The show stealing feature in the google keep is that it allows you to make a TO-DO list with the functionality to tick it out when completed.

2] Cam Scanner:

  • Cam Scanner is by far the best utility app for scanning documents easily without any hassle.
  • It uses your mobile/mail id to register to the cloud storage of cam scanner, allowing you a limited cloud space.
  •  It has built in templates such as docs, ID cards, QR code, greeting card, etc. for scanning.
  • It also provides option for a bulk/individual scanning under docs category; bulk scan option allows you to scan multiple pages at a time (which proved very useful to me).
  • You are also provided with options for setting the quality of the scan and the direction(horizontal/vertical) of the scan.
  • Post scan, you can use the temporary gallery to crop the contents of the scanned page which proves to be handy since the auto crop may fail at times.
  • When the scanning is done, it generates a pdf file with options to still edit each page; when saved, the pdf file can be downloaded to the phone/google drive/shared to others.

3] Amazon music:

Coming to multimedia streaming sector, for all those with Amazon prime membership, it has been a treat because, Amazon has launched prime music where we can enjoy unlimited ads free music and even options to download for offline.
